Delete Your Wondrs Account

This page explains how to delete your Wondrs account, what happens to your data when you do, and how long it takes. It forms part of, and should be read alongside, our Privacy Policy.
1. How to Request Deletion
You can delete your Wondrs account and all associated personal data in one of two ways.
In the app (fastest)
Open the Wondrs Android app and select Delete my account and data in your account settings. Because you are already signed in, this pathway confirms your identity automatically and begins the deletion process straight away.
By email
If you no longer have the app installed or prefer to request deletion in writing, email us at hello@wondrs.com.au with:
- Subject line: "Account Deletion Request"
- The email address registered to your Wondrs account
We use the registered email address to verify that the request comes from the account holder. If we cannot verify ownership, we may ask you for additional information before proceeding.
2. What Gets Deleted
When your deletion request is processed, we delete or de-identify the personal information associated with your account, including:
- Account data: your email, account identifiers, and authentication details.
- Profile and preferences: onboarding responses and personalisation settings.
- Location data: any stored location information tied to your account.
- Trip and itinerary data: trip titles, travel dates, and saved stops you created.
- Usage and telemetry: app interaction and engagement records linked to your account.
- User-submitted content: any photos or content you submitted, where applicable.
The categories above reflect the information described in Section 2 of our Privacy Policy.
3. What We May Retain
We remove your personal data when it is no longer required. However, some information may be retained for a limited period where the law allows or requires it, for example for security, fraud prevention, tax and accounting, and legal compliance purposes.
In addition, certain telemetry and engagement records may persist for up to 90 days before deletion or de-identification, and backups may retain data for a short period until they are cycled out. Retention is described in full in Section 7 of our Privacy Policy.
4. Timeline
- We will acknowledge your request shortly after we receive it.
- We will complete deletion within 30 days, subject to the retention exceptions described above.
- Once deletion is complete, we will send a confirmation to your registered email address.
5. Before You Delete: Wondrs Pro Subscriptions
If you have a Wondrs Pro subscription, cancel it via the Google Play Store before submitting your deletion request to avoid future charges. Deleting your Wondrs account does not automatically cancel a subscription billed through Google Play.
