Wondrs Privacy Policy

Version: 1.1 Effective date: 18 April 2026 Entity: Vet in a Van Pty Ltd, ABN 71 639 098 212 ("Wondrs", "we", "us")

This Privacy Policy explains how Wondrs collects, uses, discloses, stores, and protects personal information.

1. Scope

This policy applies to Wondrs apps, websites, APIs, and related services ("Services").

2. Information We Collect

Depending on your use of the Services, we may collect:

3. How We Collect Information

We collect information:

4. Why We Use Information

We use information to:

Where required by law, we rely on your consent or another lawful basis.

5. Disclosure and Third Parties

We may disclose data to service providers that support delivery of the Services, such as:

When you confirm a trip in the Wondrs Android app, your account email address and confirmed itinerary (trip title, dates, and ordered stops) are transmitted to an AWS Lambda function we operate, which triggers AWS Simple Email Service (SES) to deliver a copy of that itinerary to your own account email address. The email is delivered to you only and is not shared with any third party. The Lambda function does not retain the itinerary payload beyond the duration of the request. AWS Lambda and SES may retain technical metadata (timestamps, message IDs, and delivery status) per AWS default log retention settings.

We may also disclose data:

We do not sell personal information as an independent data broker.

6. International Transfers

Service providers may process data in countries outside your home jurisdiction. Wondrs takes reasonable steps to ensure transferred data is handled with appropriate safeguards.

7. Retention

Wondrs retains personal information only as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes above, including legal, security, fraud-prevention, and audit requirements.

Retention periods vary by data category. Operational caches are typically short-lived. Telemetry and engagement records may be retained for up to 90 days unless a different lawful retention period applies.

Where data is no longer required, we delete or de-identify it.

8. Security

Wondrs uses technical and organisational measures designed to protect personal information, including access controls, encryption where appropriate, and incident response procedures.

No system is completely secure; users should also protect account credentials and device access.

9. Your Choices and Rights

Depending on applicable law, you may have rights to:

To exercise rights, contact hello@wondrs.com.au.

10. Account Deletion

Wondrs will provide:

Deletion requests may be subject to lawful retention exceptions (for example security, fraud, tax/accounting, and legal compliance).

11. Children

Wondrs is not intended for children under 13. If we learn we collected personal information from a child contrary to law, we will take appropriate steps to delete it.

12. Marketing and Communications

Wondrs may send service and transactional communications needed to operate your account. Where we send optional marketing communications, users can opt out via available controls.

One example of a product communication is the itinerary email: when you confirm a trip in the Wondrs Android app, we send a copy of your itinerary to your account email address so you have an offline reference and can share it with travel companions. You can disable this in the app Settings ("Email my itinerary when I confirm a trip"). When this setting is off, no itinerary data is transmitted from your device and no email is sent.

13. Cookies and Analytics

We may use cookies and basic analytics tools to understand site and app usage. See our Cookies Policy for details.

14. Policy Updates

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. For material changes, we will provide reasonable notice in-app, by email, or via website publication.
